U14T1 dev Girls Support Humanitarian Mission

The CITY U14T1B Girls team and Soccer NS worked together to support the Université de Moncton's Humanitarian Mission to Haiti by helping organize drives in the Halifax area for soccer gear to send to Haiti. This morning the U14 girls along with Judy from SNS met with Tyson and Jenny from Université de Moncton to learn more about the project as well as box up the amazing amount of donations of soccer gear that came in from members of clubs all over the metro area and the Valley and South Shore clubs. Jenny and Tyson along with 30 other students head to Anse-à-Veau in the Western region of Haiti in April with these donations as well medical equipment and toys (enough to fill 100 hockey bags). During their time in Haiti the group will do workshops, organize a soccer tournament for U14 players and complete a youth clubhouse!
