Without Volunteers, kids can't play
2008-02-25Sport Nova Scotia launches awareness campaign: Without volunteers, kids can’t play. Halifax City Soccer Club requires coaches to coach at the T2B, U12 through U18 level. This is entry level coaching and we will send our coaches to the appropriate coaching clinics for certification. This is an urgent request to parents in particular, to consider coaching your child, REGISTRATION FEES ARE WAIVED FOR PARENT VOLUNTEERS. WITHOUT VOLUNTEERS KIDS WONT PLAY.
Jersey and Equipment Sorting: volunteers required week of March 17th, 2008. To make up team jersey sets and equipment bags for distrubution after tryouts.
Data Entry: volunteers required immediately. Thursday evenings or during the day. Verifying data on registration form with that in computer system.
Tryout Support, Photo Volunteers - This year we are going to try taking pictures of each player trying out for our records. Three people are required each evening during first round of tryouts to help label and direct players.
U14 and U12 Tournament Assistance: Week of May 26th, tournament on weekend of May 31st. Positions required: field marshalls, canteen, team registrations and organization.
Old Town Derby: Halifax City vs Dartmouth United soccer derby, June 28th, 29th and 30th. Canteen, special events, 50/50 draw.
