HCSC Appoints Head Coaches for Premier Men and Women - Tryouts 2011

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Sweetapple as Head Coach of our Premier Men’s Soccer team.   Mark has a long history with the Club both as a player and a youth coach with the former City Celtic Club.  Mark has been the Director of the National Training Centre Atlantic as well as currently holds the position of St. Mary’s University, Varsity Women’s coach.   We are thrilled to have him on board to bring this highly successful team to the next level. 

We are equally pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Routledge as our Premier Women’s Coach.  Alan has coached with our Club for several years.  Alan has played at a high level in the Scottish football system and brings a wealth of football knowledge to the team.   He has an excellent rapport with the girls and is taking on the monumental task of rebuilding this team which took a hiatus last year.

Both Mark and Alan will be working closely with Ken Wharton, our Director of Coaching as he steps in as Assistant Coach to both teams,  bringing his Newcastle Academy and Premiership football experience  to the table.   This is a very exciting year for these teams.

Premier Men:          Thursday April 28th  7:30pm  St. Marys Uni
                                   Saturday April 30th  10:30am  St. Marys Uni
                                   Monday May 2nd  7:30pm Dalhousie University

Premier Women:    Tuesday April 26th, 7:00pm  St. Marys Unvi
                                   Saturday April 30th  9:00am  St. Marys Uni

All players must have a signed registration form to participate in the tryout.   $10 tryout fee       Registration forms can be printed off.
