City Premier Men Crowned Champions for 6th time
2009-08-26Halifax City Premier Men crowned champions for 6th time in 7 years after 3-2 win over undefeated Halifax Dunbrack. Halifax City Pacifico Premier Women, League Champions conceded 3-1 to Halifax Dunbrack after a terrific season and a game plagued with injuries and a short bench.
It was a second half nail-biter after going up 3-0 in the first half against undefeated Halifax Dunbrack. Great goals by Kevin Steeves, Trevor Reddick and Jono Hammond, outstanding keeping by Graham Little kept the hard pressing Dunbrack team at bay. 3-2 final score. Halifax City Senior Men will be travelling to Saskatoon in November to represent the province at Nationals.
