University Wrap Up CONGRATS HCSC PLAYER KATHERINE BEARNE!

Katherine Bearne and the uOttawa Gee Gees captured gold in the USports National Women’s Soccer Championship on November 11th. The Gee Gees entered the tournament as the OUA Champions and played the University of Calgary in the quarterfinals. Katherine scored the winning goal in Ottawa’s 2-1 victory on November 8th. https://twitter.com/USPORTS_Soccer/status/1060686577288982528  On November 10th, the Gee Gees battled strong winds, bitter cold and snow to defeat McMaster 4-1 in the semifinals. In the finals, they faced Trinity Western who had won national gold on five previous occasions in eight appearances at the finals. The Gee Gees triumphed 2-1 over the Spartans for their second national championship gold in program history. The previous win was in 1996 at Dalhousie.
