University Wrap Up October 14th

For our men in the OUA, Cameron MacKinnon and Queen’s defeated Nipissing 1-0 on October 14th. On October 17th, they beat UOIT 3-1 and on October 20th they lost 4-0 to Carleton.
In AUS action on October 14th, Dalhousie with Ahmed Abokar, Jacob Bolton, Kallen Heenan, Isaac MacDonald, Isaiah McCullogh, and Aidan McFarland lost 2-0 to 1st place CBU, St FX with Ayoub Al-Arabi, Joe Edgerton, Liam Elbourne and Blake Fenton shut out UPEI 3-0, while SMU with Alex Black, Eric Heckel tied UNB 0-0.
On October 19th, St FX fell 3-0 to CBU, SMU lost 2-1 to Moncton, while Dal lost 4-0 to Acadia. On October 20th, Alex had a team high 6 goals, including the game winner, when SMU beat Mount A 11-2.
Max Gross and Brown shut out Providence 1-0 on October 16th. On October 20th, they lost 2-1 to Cornell.
For our HCSC women in the AUS on October 14th, St FX with Cameron Bruce and Larissa White tied UPEI 2-2, SMU with Tanaka Akiyama, and Paige Vincent beat UNB 2-1, Annika Monroe and Acadia shut out Moncton 3-0, while Dal with Zoe Brown, Sam Corcoran, Kate Fines, Haley Glazebrook, Alyssa Hartlen, Jensen Hudder, Paige Jamieson, Sydney Kenney, Brenna Kettlewell, Olivia MacIntyre , Josie Oikle, and Sara Pitman were shut out 3-0 by CBU. On October 19th, Dal shut out Acadia 2-0, SMU beat Moncton 1-0, while St FX fell 3-0 to CBU. On October 20th, Paige had a goal and an assist in SMU’s 3-2 victory over Mount A with Hanna Bowers and Dimitra Tsimlikis, while Acadia shut out UPEI 2-0.
In the NCAA on October 14th, Hannah Bruce and UVU lost 1-0 to California Baptist, Madicynn Harnish and JU were defeated 6-0 by Lipscomb, while Karah Fleet and UMass Lowell beat 5-2 UMBC. On October 18th, Hannah Fleet and SMU shut out UCF 1-0 while UML secured a post season bid with their 1-2 victory over Vermont. On October 19th, JU finished their season with a 1-0 loss to Liberty, UVU lost to Kansas City 1-0.
In the OUA on October 14th, Queen’s with Alexa MacLatchy and Taylor Green tied Nipissing 0-0 while Katherine Bearne and UOttawa beat Trent 3-1. On October 20th, Katherine had the game winner in UOttawa’s 1-0 shut out of RMC and Queen’s tied Carleton 0-0.
