University Wrap Up: Week of October 7th
2018-10-15For our CITY women in the OUA on October 7th, Katherine Bearne scored when UofOttawa shut out Ryerson 4-0 while Queen’s with Alexa MacLatchy and Taylor Green beat UOIT 2-0. On October 13th, Queen’s tied Laurentian 1-1 and UOttawa shut out UOIT 1-0.
In the AUS on October 12th, SMU with Tanaka Akiyama & Paige Vincent upset the USports 2017 silver medallist CBU 1-0 while Annika Monroe and Acadia beat UNB 2-1 leaving Acadia in first place in the AUS. On October 13th, Dal with Zoe Brown, Sam Corcoran, Kate Fines, Haley Glazebrook, Alyssa Hartlen, Jensen Hudder, Paige Jamieson, Sydney Kenney, Brenna Kettlewell, Olivia MacIntyre , Josie Oikle, and Sara Pitman battled to a 1-1 tie against St FX with Cameron Bruce and Larissa White while Mount A with Hanna Bowers and Dimitra Tsimlikis beat Moncton 3-1.
In the NCAA action, Karah Fleet and UMass Lowell defeated Binghamton 3-1 while Hannah Fleet and SMU fell 2-1 to Memphis. On October 11th, UMass Lowell were blanked 1-0 by Maine. On October 12th, Hannah Bruce and UVU shut out CSU Bakersfield 3-0 while Madicynn Harnish and JU lost 1-0 to North Ala.
With our CITY men, Max Gross and Brown beat Holy Cross 2-1 on October 9th. On October 13th, they shut out Harvard 1-0.
Cameron MacKinnon and Queen’s beat Laurentian 1-0 on October 13th.
On October 13th, Kallen Heenan had a goal when Dalhousie with Ahmed Abokar, Jacob Bolton, Isaac MacDonald, Isaiah McCullogh, and Aidan McFarland had a 4-0 shut out of St FX with Ayoub Al-Arabi, Joe Edgerton, Liam Elbourne and Blake Fenton
On October 12th, SMU with Alex Black, Eric Heckel fell 6-0 to CBU.
