Halifax City successes at IKON Awards
2009-06-09Congratulations to Halifax City Salty's Premier Women (Team of the Year) and to N'Kem Ezurike (Female Team Athlete of the Year) on their IKON Nova Scotia Sport Awards.
Soccer enjoyed a great night at the 13th Annual IKON Awards when the sport picked up 3 major awards. Two of those went to Halifax City members!
Halifax City Salty's, the 2008 Canadian Senior Women's Champions, coached by Carl Hayre and Geoff Cannon won the Team of the Year Award.
N'Kem Ezurike, who played on the Canadian National U17 team at the U17 World Cup in New Zealand, won Female Team Athlete of the Year. N'Kem also played with Halifax City Salty's.
Halifax City also congratulates Shauna Poirier on wining Officlal of the Year.
Well done to everyone and every sport recognized at the event.
