HCSC University Wrap-up August 19th

Congratulations to City’s Larissa White who represented Canada at the World University Futsal championships this month! She was the only AUS representative on the team.
Canada beat Israel 5-2, lost a close match 3-2 to Ukraine, lost 7-3 to Poland, and fell 3-1 against Russia. In the playoffs, they shut out New Zealand 4-0 and lost 6-1 to Poland to finish in 6th place.
Hannah Bruce begins her season with awards for Utah Valley student athlete of the year and all-WAC pre-season team selection. On August 17 th , UVU were shut out 3-0 by Cal followed by an August 19 1-0 OT loss to Wyoming. UVU tied UNLV 1-1 on August 25th .
Madicynn Harnish started in her rookie debut with the Jacksonville dolphins on August 16th in their 2-0 loss to Troy. On August 19 th , they were shut out 3-0 by Vanderbilt. On August 24 th they traveled to Pittsburgh for a 3-0 loss to Duquesne.
SMU mustangs and Hannah Fleet posted a 2-1 victory over DePaul on August 16. On August 19 th , they were shut out 1-0 by Long Beach State. On August 23 rd , they beat Rice
2-1.
Karah Fleet was welcomed back to the UMass Lowell Riverhawks on August 17 th in their 4-2 loss to Loyola. August 19 th they lost 7-0 to DePaul They hosted Colgate on August
23 rd and battled to a 0-0 tie after double OT.
In the OUA, Katherine Bearne and UOttawa started their season with a 1-1 draw on the
road at Nipissing.
