Message from the President
2017-03-30
Dear Halifax City Soccer Club members,
Spring is always a time for new beginnings, and we are happy to announce that we have some exciting upcoming changes here at the club.
We are pleased to announce Matt Holton as our Technical Director.
Matt has shared the co-Technical Director responsibilities for the last two years; we are delighted that he has agreed to assume this essential role. Jonathon Cooper, our other co-Technical Director, is pursuing his fulltime career outside of soccer, and will continue to coach and work-part for the club and for that we are extremely grateful.
Following many successful years as the Director of our Mini Program, Patrick Davis has accepted a full time job in the business sector. Patrick will still be active in the club, coaching his U10 team and will be involved in a limited volunteer capacity with our mini program during the transition from winter to summer, for which we are thankful.
After many successful and productive years with Halifax City Soccer Club, Darrell Cormier has decided it is time for a change, and he will be moving on to new challenges, including working with the BMO training facility. We thank Darrell for his experience and expertise, and wish him success and happiness in all his future endeavors. From all the kids at City, a high "four-and-a-half" to you Darrell!
The continued development and growth of our players is our primary focus. We have a number of senior players who are eager to become involved with the club, so there will be new faces and ideas on the pitch this summer.
Halifax City is extremely fortunate to have Matt and Jonathon, both of whom are certified National B coaches, know every child's name, and constantly strive for our players to increase their skills, find success as a player, and have fun doing so.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me at president@halifaxcitysoccer.ca.
Go CITY go!
Janet Cullinan,
President, Halifax City Soccer Club
