CITY Alumni Star for Montreal Impact in Mexico
2015-08-14
Connor Manuel, Brandon Phelps join fellow CITY alumnus Oscar Marshall with Montreal Impact.
Just over two weeks ago we said Bon Voyage to Connor Manuel (Back row, 3rd from left) & Brandon Phelps (Back row, 2nd from left) who officially joined Montreal Impact and travelled with the team down to Mexico for the U13 CONCACAF tournament.
Connor and Brabdon boys joined former CITY player Oscar Marshall (Back row, 2nd from right) on the trip. A wonderful achievement for the boys and for our club as they are great role models to all young players who want to go places in the game.
Their work ethic and dedication to self improvement and developing is simply amazing. This takes the recent total of academy players from CITY to 4 in the last 3 years with Liam Elbourne joining Vancouver Whitecaps. What is very much our U14 Tier 1A boys loss is Montreal's gain - But we wish them all the best in their journeys!
Connor and Brandon are part of an increasing number of players fortunate to be invited to join professional academies or selected for professional ID camps. Earlier this summer Gabe Raphael, Luke Berryman and Yanni Salloum were invited to Rangers International ID Camp.
Well done Boys!
