Changes at CITY

Dear Halifax CITY Soccer Club Members:

The Board of Directors of Halifax CITY Soccer Club has accepted the resignation of Diane Elbourne, General Manager.  Diane will be leaving her post at the beginning of September. 

Diane was hired to lead our club nine years ago after the merger of Halifax Celtic and Halifax City Wanderers. During this time, Diane has contributed to the growth of our membership and the promotion of the beautiful game of soccer. She has implemented many development programs, hosted countless tournaments and events, recruited passionate sponsors and overseen all administrative aspects of club operations.

Over the years, Diane has touched virtually every aspect of the club and has helped it grow to one of the largest in Atlantic Canada. Most notably, perhaps, is Diane's relationship with our membership. Even as our club has grown, Diane has been able to remember player names, siblings, parents and achievements of individual members. Her recognition of the importance of our history and the development of soccer in Nova Scotia has helped our club transform into the thriving organization it is today.

We are fortunate that, although Diane will now spend more time travelling and with her family, she has agreed to stay close to our club and help us through the transition as we begin our search for her replacement.
