Premier Women Heading to England

Halifax City Soccer Club’s Premier Women’s team has been granted the amazing opportunity to travel abroad and compete against top-level senior women’s teams in the UK. On April 30th, 2015 a squad of seventeen women will depart from Halifax, flying to London, then trek onwards to Newcastle.
Over the course of a ten day period, the team will be led and coached by Ken Wharton whose history includes such high accolades as having played for Newcastle United in the English Premier League. With the many contacts that Ken developed while playing and coaching in professional academies, he has been able to create a fantastic football adventure which includes training with and playing against women’s professional teams from Newcastle United FC, Sunderland AFC and Durham City.
The Halifax Team is composed of high school and university players. This is a high level playing and training opportunity that is quite simply unique for a Club based team. It is the chance for a trip of life time.
