Halifax City Soccer Club – Summer 2015
Technical Instructor – Mini Division
Halifax City Soccer is looking for candidates to fill a number of full and part time summer positions.
HCSC is a Club of over 800 mini players from age 4 to 10. Each year we required reliable, mature, energetic and enthusiastic people with soccer experience to work with our parent coach volunteers and senior staff to provide a quality sporting experience for their children, promoting a healthy active lifestyle.
Technical Instructors are responsible for the implementation and delivery of program. Supporting parent coach volunteers in our programs from U4 through U10. Candidates must be available weeknights and occasional weekends, be good communicators and comfortable working with small children and their parents. You must have a good grasp on basic soccer skills and be able to demonstrate.
All successful candidates will require Police Checks/Child Abuse Registry Checks and might be required to take coaching courses.
General Duties:
Field set up
Work under Senior staff to deliver program at field level.
Communicate with parents at field level.
Implement mini training program
Field breakdown at end of evening
Ensure a safe environment at all time free from any obstructions that might hurt a young player, parent or employee
Job Scope :
Time Frame – approximately
Monday 5:30 – 8:30pm Satellite (U6 and U8)
Tuesday 4:30 – 8:30pm Dalhousie (U4, U6,U8 & U10)
Wednesday 5:00 – 8:00pm Dalhousie
Thursday 5:30– 8:30pm Satellite
Required. May 25th – August 26
We are looking to fill various full time grant positions as well as full and part-time positions. Grant positions are generally one 14 week 30hrs/week position and two 8 week/30hrs per week plus top up for weeks not covered by grant. Please write an email/letter to express your interest including playing level, prior work and volunteer experience.
